Timothy Patton, DO joined the Department of Dermatology in 2004, after completing his residency training in Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh.  Dr. Patton earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, from Johns Hopkins University, and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.  

Dr. Patton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology, the Director of the Medical Student Course in Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and the Section Chief of Dermatology at Shadyside Hospital.  Dr. Patton is an expert in the field of Immunobullous Disease, and has been the director of the Center of Immunobullous Diseases since 2008.  Additionally, He serves as a sub-investigator on various Clinical Trials in the Department of Dermatology.
