Linda Doan, MD, PhD, began her residency with the University of Pittsburgh in July of 2014.
She graduated with honors with a bachelors of science degree in molecular biology from Yale University. A native of California, she returned home to pursue a dual MD-PhD at the University of California, Irvine. She completed her doctoral thesis work in the field of developmental neurobiology, and during that time was awarded a scholarship to study at the Santa Fe Institute’s Complex Systems School in Beijing, China. She completed her medical intern year at Lahey Clinic before coming to the University of Pittsburgh to begin her residency training.
